Cartagena and Mompox are sister towns in many ways, founded at similar times by two brothers, the cities share architectural styles but offer very different atmospheres.

Arrival & Relaxation
Arrive to Bogota El Dorado Airport where you will be met by your travel specialist and driver. Your travel specialist is responsible for your trip and will be on call throughout.
You will then be taken to the Morison Hotel to check in and unpack. Once you are comfortably installed in your hotel you will be taken for a welcome dinner. In the first day it is recommended that you rest and relax before your procedure.

Orientation Day
After breakfast and you will be met by your travel specialist and be given an orientation. This where you can ask your travel specialist questions about your trip and make any special requests.
You will then be taken to meet with your doctor so they can deliver your medical orientation. This will be your opportunity to ask question or make special requests with your doctor. Be aware that prior to arriving in Colombia you will have met with your doctor virtually.

Procedures & Rest
As there are multiple procedures included in this package they will be done over the course of two days. After breakfast, you will be met by your travel specialist and driver and taken to your doctor’s office, Times may vary depending on the procedures you are doing. Your travel specialist and driver will be on call as needed throughout the day. During these two days we recommenced rest and relaxation when you are not engaged in your procedures.

Cartagena Arrival
After you have checked out of your hotel, you’ll be picked up by our team and taken to the airport. Once you arrive you will be accompanied to security by our travel specialist. You will board a flight to Rafael Nunez Airport in Cartagena. Upon arrival you will be met by our head of operations in Cartagena and taken to Casa Milo. Casa Milo is a beautiful colonial era town house in Cartagena’s historic Getsamni neighborhood. The house has three bed rooms (all with en suite bathrooms), a roof top pool, a kitchen a, barbecue area, a gym, and two unique viewing points that offer breathtaking views of The Castillo San Felipe de Barajas fortress.

Experience Cartagena: Your Way
Wake up in the amazing city of Cartagena and enjoy a roof top breakfast. During your stay you can choose from a range of activities, such as city walking tours, sunset cruises of Cartagena bay, private rum tastings and spa days. Our street tours are done by local experts who speak C1 level English at a minimum. The sunset cruise lasts 3 hours and is done on a catamaran in Cartagena’s bay. Our rum tasting experiences are held on the roof top of Casa Milo, we use the award winning Dictador rum and bottles range up to 25 years old. Spa days consist of manicures, pedicures, and massages.

River Cruise Adventure
You will be picked up at 6:00am by our operations manager and drive two hours to Calamar which is the embarkation point for our river boat cruise. You will float up the majestic Magdalena river, in a wooden, open air boat. The boat has three bathrooms, a fully stocked bar, a viewing point, a kitchenette, sofas, fans, music and hammocks for a lazy afternoon nap. The cruise lasts 8 hours in total and will arrive at Mompox at approximately 4:00pm. Once the boat arrive you will be met by our operations manager in and shown to your hotel.

Mompox Exploration
On Both mornings you will wake-up to Magdalena river’s unique charm. During your stay you will be able to pick and choose between many different activities and tours. You can visit the intriguing and unique cemetery where famous poets and revolutionary war heroes are enshrined in mausoleums. Go on exciting aquatic safari’s of nearby wetlands, where you can spot wild alligators, a wide variety of birds, iguana’s and turtles. You can take a walking tour of the beautiful historic streets and cathedrals. Or take a sunset cruise and enjoy a cocktail.
Mompox has an emerging culinary scene, so you will be able to sample delicious local cuisine during your stay.

Bogotá Farewell
That morning you will be taken to Mompox airport to board a flight to Bogota. Upon arrival you will be met by your travel specialist and driver and taken to your hotel.
You will have a meeting with your doctor where they will check your progress. The rest of the day your driver and travel specialist will be at your disposition. You can explore the city, do some last minute shopping or visit local sites and attractions.

Departure & Support
You will bee met by your driver and travel specialist and do your hotel check out. From there you will be taken to the airport.
Our travel specialist will accompany you until security to make sure you get off ok.
